About the IHC Challenge
THERE IS A LOT TO KNOW ABOUT US

The Incredible Hercules Challenge found its birth at the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. At this point in runDisney's history, the race weekend hosted a 5K race, a half marathon, marathon and what would emerge as the "Goofy Challenge." Should you run the Goofy Challenge (both the half and full marathon), you would be awarded a half marathon finisher's medal, a marathon finisher's medal and a Goofy Challenge medal.

Creator and owner of the Incredible Hercules Challenge, Lee Hoedl, took the 2014 WDW racing experience one step further: plan a prototype all-day scavenger hunt excursion at Disney's EPCOT park for registered participants the day after the race events. And in the end, adding to their already accumulated race medals, participants would receive the grandest medal of all: the Hercules Challenge medal.

Response was so favorable, the second challenge occurred two years later when runDisney added a 10K race, nestled between the 5K and the half marathon; being advance by runDisney as the Goofy Challenge. The Hercules Challenge followed after this race weekend in 2016 and was retitled the Incredible Hercules Challenge, with an even more impressive medal.

This concept of enjoying the wonderful historic, cultural and culinary sites of the city in which you've just competed/raced was born from this experience history above and has since been replicated successfully at national endurance race events over the past ten years with the same extreme satisfaction of its participants.
